Over the past 30 years I have worked within the creative industries - from brewing tea to making big decisions. For a decade I worked at the Guardian newspaper, commissioning illustration on a daily basis and acting as the paper's outreach to the illustration community by helping to organise exhibitions and events.

This led to me visiting BA and MA courses in visual communications across the UK and delivering sessions in self-promotion and professional practice and how to identify your own unique style and maximise its potential.

I have now tutored and mentored students and graduates from a range of disciplines for over 12 years, helping hundreds of people find their way and gain creative confidence in their work.

Since 2009 I have run my own business representing Artists and Designers by showcasing, promoting and selling their work to clients - both in the UK, Europe and the USA. A large part of the relationship I have with 'my' artists is that I mentor them along the way, helping them reach their potential and generate more sales.

My skill as a mentor is that I am able to connect with you to get a grasp on what it is you're really aiming for. So often I hear people say they don't know where to start - when actually they're already half way there. I have years of experience looking at portfolios - and my main goal for assisting people is to help them make their work commercially viable but to not just stay in their comfort zone.

If you want your work to sell in the long term, then that is what I can help you with.

I am based in London and run one-to-one sessions at my studio at Hotel Elephant in SE17. There is the option to book an online session via Skype if you are unable to visit me in person.
