I am pleased to offer a Gallery Assistant internship opportunity for a keen candidate to gain experience in running an Artist agency and online gallery.  This position is to work across both A Little bit of Art and GAS Gallery.

The ideal person will need a passion for Art and Design and Illustration, be computer literate, a good communicator and have a fluent command of English.

You will ideally be a resourceful and practical person who can ‘muck in’ and get your hands dirty when required and who can easily communicate face to face with people.

This is a flexible, unpaid role with an initial period of 3 months. We will pay expenses including food and travel within London’s zones 1-6.

This is a new role and is adaptable and flexible over 2-3 days a week:

We are currently preparing for the Thames Fesitval and Designers Block at the Southbank in September and the Affordable Art Fair, Hampstead in November.

The post will give you the opportunity to gain solid experience in:

Assisting at Art Fairs, pop-up shops and other events
Updating websites, blogs and social media
Managing online orders
Artist liaison
Handling calls from clients and customers
Updating portfolios and Artist profiles.
Research and administration.
Retail experience
